I love this picture. The more I look at it and share it the more I just absolutely dig it. This picture is a perfect example of goal setting. This is the pivotal point where life change happens. Where a person can look back and say, that is where the change started to take place.
Goal setting is so important, for whatever you are doing, but especially for exercising and dieting. If you want to change your weight, you need to get to the point to where you are saying the same things as above.
Or, to quote a great line from a movie….”I’m made as hell, and I’m not going to take it any more!”
So in line with practicing what I preach, here is mine that I came up with.
“I know what I want. I want to live a healthy and active life. I want to live a life where I can give generously to other people. I want to live an adventure. So if I want these things it means I need to live like I want them. And not start tomorrow, I need to start today and do it every day. I need to exercise and eat right. I need to work my Team Beachbody business and I need to help other people to change their lifestyles. I need to promote positivity and help people to see that they CAN achieve their weight loss goals, that there is another way to live. I also need to help them learn how to build their own businesses. I need to give away what I have learned to help others achieve what they want. I need to pray on this daily and ask for help, and I need to give away a portion of what I receive in thanks for it being given to me. I need to be responsible with what I’m given and work to help raise people up. I know it might not be east, but I know it will be worth it!”
So there we go. Now I’m going to post this in every room to remind me.
This changed a lot from a couple years ago. A couple years ago it would have been the exact statement that is in the picture above. But as we move on, our goals should constantly change and grow with us.
What are your goals? How would you write them out?
