It’s better than shark week on the Discovery. It’s better than Nazi week on History… It’s the REST week!
Since I’m not doing an official program or schedule (I’ve been mixing P90X and Insanity), I have decided to do the rest week for the Insanity program. Just 1 work out about 40 minutes, called Core Cardio and Balance. I was a bit surprised to be honest, I figured Insanity’s rest week would still be insane. It was a pleasant surprise though, because rest is for sure one thing I need right now.
I dont think I have ever understood exactly how important resting and giving your body a break is. A nice soft cardio week is just whats needed to give the muscles a rest, allow them to “reset” if you will, so that you can go back at them again. The thing I like best has got to be the fact that when I do jump back in, I get all the yummy soreness again, you know… when your muscles scream out and let it be known that you did something to them. Cant wait to jump right back in to it again.
