Saluting Our Soldiers, Beachbody Supporting Military Families

I’ve been part of Team Beachbody for a little while now, and there are many reasons why I’m proud to be part of the organization. The money given to different organizations, the free fund raising opportunity, the charitable awards they do, but I think they have really stepped it up here.

For a while now Beachbody has been getting closer and closer in with the military. They have met with congress on a couple occasions. Lets face it, everyone is talking about P90X, and even Michelle Obama was doing it. It is an incredible workout series. The celebrity trainers have been hitting different bases doing workouts, and even some of the elite coaches. It’s been really cool to see!

Now they have really stepped it up with giving something tangible back to the men and women actively serving. Beachbody has a business opportunity called Coaching. It’s a network marketing program, where a lot of people have chosen to supplement their income, or even go full time with it. The usual fee for it is $39.95 for the business kit and then $14.95 a month after (for websites and a host of other training and marketing material).

For all active military, and their spouses, they are giving away the coach opportunity for free. The Business kit fee is waived and so is the monthly service charge. Allowing military families to bring in additional money without any invest from their end at all. What a great way to really give back to military families and say that we appreciate all that you do. Yes, I am definitely proud to be part of Team Beachbody for this!

Letter from Emily

Just got this letter from Emily the other day and I asked her for her permission to post is. I thought it was just wonderful and shows so many amazing things. Creating a daily habit of exercise and eating properly are two of the most powerful ways we can affect our lives. Just in a short period of time the affects can be seen.

I love being a Beachbody Coach and getting things like this. I know Emily is going to keep on with this. When you are seeing benefits like this, how can you not?  It’s not fluff, it’s not a game, this is serious life changing business and I love it!

“Hi Will,

I did really well last month.  I am on week 4 of phase 1, and I’m quite enjoying this recovery week.  Here are the things that I surprised myself with in these past 3 and 1/2 weeks:

1. Yoga! I am getting close to doing the Crane and I can do the one move where you are in a warrior stance and you have to clasp your hands behind your back and underneath your leg.  I definitely couldn’t do that move for the first 3 weeks, but this most recent time I did yoga I could do the move, I was absolutely amazed. I’m really enjoying yoga.

2. I’ve lost two inches around my hips, 1 inch on my waist and I’ve lost 5 pounds.  I know it doesn’t sound like a lot but I only have about 12-15 lbs. to lose so I think it is a little more stubborn.  Plus I have had some sweets in the past 2 days, oh birthdays..haha.  But I’m not worried about that, I don’t feel off-track at all.  In fact, it wasn’t as satisfying eating sweets as I thought it would be, so I’m definitely not in a hurry to eat it again.  It kinda brought me down.

3. I have soooooo much more energy, I can wake up at 7:30 and be ready to work out by 7:45.  I don’t feel groggy and hazy in the morning, also my lower back isn’t achy anymore! I was used to waking up every morning with a sore back…not the good kind of sore. But I haven’t felt that once since I’ve been doing P90X…maybe it’s the yoga :-)”

I Dont Have Time to Work Out… BS (bag o snookies)

Probably one of the biggest excuses is I dont have time to work out.  And I’m sorry, I’m going to call you on it

You either dont make time or wont make time.

Beachbody has all kinds of routines. 10 Minute Trainer is, take a guess, only ten minutes.  Shakeology workouts are around 20 minutes.  These are really great ways to start out.  Especially if you are doing a meal replacement shake (like Shakeology) and working out.

But the amazing thing that I found out personally… If you make time to workout, you will actually have more time!

What?!?  That doesnt make sense??!

Yes… it does.

When you work out and stay in shape, and commit to get fit, you get more energy, more energy means less of that lazy time where you just have to take a break, you find that you just keep moving because you want to.  So you get more done, it motivates everything you do.  Getting fit has a great ripple effect that will go through your whole life.
