It’s not quite December yet and I’m talking about New Years resolutions. The saying goes though, if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail, and I don’t like to see people fail.
I know what a victory it was for me when I finally got back to where I wanted to be, and I want to help other people have that same feeling. If your New Years resolution is to get in shape, then think about the following.
Have a plan
Dont just have a plan, have a plan for your plan. A lot of people say they are going to get in shape and just leave it at that, but they usually dont really know where they are going or what they are going to do. If you are going to join a gym, then go ahead and join the gym NOW, so it’s done and ready to go on New Years.
Personally I’d much see you get in to home fitness and have me as your coach :)
If you decide to have me as your coach and that you want to do a Beachbody work out like P90X or Insanity, Turbo Fire, or anything like that, then get it ordered now so that you aren’t waiting. The last thing you want to do is for it to be the new year and you don’t have what you need, so you don’t start, then you put it off, then you think since you missed the start date you already failed. Trust me, this happens and it works its way in to peoples heads. I call it just another excuse, but hey, that is what its about, battling excuses!
Be prepared to hit the ground running on your resolution. Have the fridge cleared out of all the left over bad food, have your good food ready to go.
Look, if you were going to war you wouldn’t show up on the battlefield without a gun and ammo right? And you wouldn’t get there asking where you are supposed to go, so plan it out. If you want to succeed then you need to stack the deck in your favor to help you succeed!
