It makes sense doesnt it? You’re overweight. You got overweight by eating too much and moving too little. So then it should be easy. Just eat less and move more. But most people arent too fond of working hard to get something and want the quick fix. So to drop that 30 lbs (ok lets be honest it’s 60 lbs) you just stop eating. Certainly that will help you lose weight. It’s a good sign that you are hungry right? Cause that means your body isnt getting the food it is wanting that has been making you fat.
The act of eating doesnt cause you to overeat.
Let me try to reframe that for you. If you are hungry, you are more likely to over eat. Your eyes, and your mind, are much larger than your stomach. Besides, you are used to over eating. So when you get hungry, you REALLY over eat. It’s like going to the grocery store when you are hungry. Eating when you are hungry is just as bad of an idea. Unfortunately you dont really have the option of not eating.
When it comes to hunger, your body function will win out. You will eat. So how do you win?
You can avert this disaster by eating and staying full. It probably goes against what you think weight loss to be. But it is the best way to actually lose fat and lose weight.
If you eat every couple hours you will keep your metabolism up, and also stay full, so that you will not over eat. When first learning how to do this it can actually be difficult. Have you ever tried to eat when you werent hungry? It can be difficult, but you can do it.
I get up at 6:30 every morning and this is my schedule
11pm Casein protein
This keeps my engine going and it keeps me from getting to the point where I am hungry. It may sound odd to have such a schedule for eating, and I dont “eat for entertainment”, but I love the results, and to me it is far worth it.
Find out how many calories you need, break it down in to smaller meals and divide it up through the day. It really will help!
