As you’ve come to expect from Lifestyle Updated, our Beachbody on Demand review will provide you with the most detailed and expansive description of the program you can find. Given that the internet has already revolutionized the fitness industry, it’s long-past time that Beachbody joined the party. Given that we’ve already reviewed most of their other workouts, it’s also only right that we offer up our thoughts on what may be considered the “Netflix of fitness.”
Beachbody fans that have already tried out some of their workouts, along with people who are only just learning about Beachbody, stand to gain a lot by reading our review as it should answer any questions you have. Contrary to other reviews out there, our Beachbody on Demand review will be impartial and look at both the good and the bad of the program. Given how much there is to say about Beachbody on Demand it’s time to get started with the review!
What to Expect From Our Review
You might be wondering who I am and what gives me the right and credibility to review something like Beachbody on Demand. Beachbody has been on the market for over a decade now, and their workout programs have attracted so much attention that hundreds of thousands of people are searching for them every month.
Most of these people don’t have a clue about what they can expect, other than marketing terms and claims stretching as far as the eye can see. Some people will even buy the workouts without knowing that they are getting themselves into.
It’s better to ask if the workout is right for you before you make a purchase and not afterward.
I’ve been a fitness freak for most of my adult life, I’ve done some coaching, and I’ve written some of the most popular fitness reviews on the internet. I’ve seen this site receive thousands of comments and plenty of feedback. There’s been some positive, some negative, and so many questions I couldn’t hope to answer them all. To keep things simple; I know what to keep an eye out for when reviewing fitness products like this.
This review will look at all the nuances of Beachbody on Demand and what makes it an incredible option. There are some flaws in the system, however, which will also be discussed.
In short, Beachbody is full of marketing buzzwords to get you interested in getting a Beachbody Club Membership, some problems with the log-in system, and a sub-par customer service department. Well, let’s take a more in-depth look at our Beachbody on Demand review and look at if the program is worth it or not.
What is Beachbody on Demand?
The program is a massive library of online workouts that can be watched through streaming. T contains just about every Beachbody workout that has been released, and new workouts are added to the library every so often. Membership offers unlimited access to the programs, meaning users can watch all the workouts they want on any device no matter where they are or what time it is.
You can access it through your laptop, computer, smartphone, or tablet and watch the videos, giving you complete freedom and mobility as far as your fitness is concerned.
Also included in Beachbody on Demand are meal plans, calendars for tracking progress, and all the other information you would get with a Beachbody workout. For as long as your membership is active you’ll have complete access to these tools, the entire library of workouts, and customized plans. Being a member of the program gives you a great incentive to reach your fitness goals and achieve your dream body.
Membership also comes with a 10% discount on any future Beachbody purchases, and members also have the chance to attend live chats with the trainers. Now that we’ve taken a look at the basics, it’s time to take a deeper look at every detail of Beachbody on Demand including the workouts and user interface.
Some people are going to aim to lose weight, while others will look to improve their muscle definition and bulk. Given that our Beachbody on Demand review won’t cover each program let me take the chance to reassure you that just about every program is as good as you would hope, if not better.
The question on everyone’s mind wasn’t so much if the workouts were good or not though, it was whether or not they were good for a specific goal such as losing weight, building muscle, and becoming more defined. You can’t go wrong when you consider everything there is on offer. Compare the different workouts and find one that does what you wat it to do.
Don’t forget that what you want can change over time. What started out as a goal to lose weight could become a goal to gain more muscle, and vice versa. Beachbody on Demand makes changing goals easier than an alternative such as a DVD program. While a DVD focuses on a specific goal, this program has different exercises for different goals.
Change the Pace, Diversify Workouts, and Make Custom Programs to Avoid Boredom
To be honest, I gave several of the different Beachbody workouts a go, and all of them gave me better results than I expected. One problem is that boredom will become a factor as time goes on though. You’ll either have to take a break from your workout and come back to it, or you’ll need to switch up and choose a different program (and pay for it). Given that Beachbody programs can last for up to a few months, this would add up to spending five times the amount of a Beachbody subscription while still being stuck using a DVD on your TV or laptop. Beachbody allows users to customize schedules and created their hybrid workout programs to keep boredom at bay. There’s plenty of customization templates online, including two of our own which are shared for free.
One Month Free Trial
Beachbody offers a one-month free trial meaning that you won’t need to spend a penny for the first 30 days of the program. The trial is also completely no-obligation, meaning that you’re able to stop the trial period whenever you want and leave it at that.

Everyone is part of the modern mobile world, and this is one program that will let you go mobile. Working out in your backyard – which is a great advantage during the summer if you don’t have ventilated space in your home – or in the park, or just working out in your garage has never been easier thanks to the mobile-friendly nature of Beachbody. It also makes it much easier to work out with your friends by making it easier to work out in the great outdoors.
To be honest, I always felt there was one thing missing from Beachbody workouts, and that was motivation. Most of the feedback I get from Beachbody reviews are people saying that they weren’t able to keep pushing forward and keep their pace up. The live chats change this dramatically. Try listening to one of the trainers like Shaun T, Tony Horton, and Chalene Johnson answer your questions and then tell me that you lack the motivation. These people know what they’re doing, and they completely understand their craft.
- 10% discounts on future Beachbody purchases
- Includes most deluxe packages to give you access to all the latest workout programs
- Earn t-shirts
- HD videos available for instant streaming
- This is an online gym packed full of personal trainers that you can take with you wherever you go. It still has the same level of accountability, and you’re more likely to work out given that you’re paying for the program. This gives you a better incentive for working out and encourages you to make use of every tool you have. This means you’re more likely to stay in shape, improve performance, boost muscle mass, and burn through fat.
What’s Wrong with Beachbody on Demand?
I always say that there’s no room for flowery language here on Lifestyle Updated. I always like to include the negative parts of a workout program whenever I write a fitness review. I also attempt to predict which features – or indeed lacking features – are going to leave you the most frustrated.
My Beachbody on Demand review will be no exception. Here are some aspects of the program that bothered me and may bother you as well:
- The first thing is that relying solely on online streaming can be frustrating. Imagine if you were staying at a hotel and wanted to work out only to find out that the hotel didn’t have an internet connection that was fast and stable enough to stream the workouts. That’s a situation where a workout DVD would be much better. You could always access the workouts using mobile data on your smartphone, but this is beyond the point. Speaking of phones…
- It drains mobile data like nothing else. There are lots of times where people forget to turn off their mobile data and the workouts stream through the mobile data connection and not the Wi-Fi connection. This is surely going to quickly drain your data, especially if you want to watch the videos in HD. Being able to stream over mobile data does mean you can use the workouts even when you aren’t connected to the internet, which is a positive though.
- You’re effectively renting workouts. Don’t fool yourself into believing that you own the workouts as you lose access to them as soon as you stop paying the membership fee. With a DVD you have complete and unlimited access to the workouts for life. Well, for the life of the DVD anyway!
There is another aspect to this in that you have complete access to the workouts and there’s no need to pay a shipping fee. You can sign up and get started immediately while you’re still enthusiastic about starting rather than having to wait for the workouts to show up on your doorstep. Don’t forget about that month-long free trial either.
By now you’re closer to understanding if the Beachbody on Demand service is right for you or not. I’m not here to convince you one way or the other. Rather I’m only here to give you all the facts that you need and answer any questions that you may have about the service. I hope that I have managed to do this at least.
If you do have any more questions, then leave a comment, and I’ll get back to you. Until then feel free to check out Beachbody on Demand for yourself or take a look at the latest great fitness contest offered by Fitness Achievement:
